If the band name seems strangely familiar yet not so very familiar, here’s why. MDFMK is KMFDM backwards. Although KMFDM is no more, core members Sascha Konietzko and Tim Skold (along with new member Lucia Cifarelli) are picking up the torch and forging ahead. The music is very similar, but there are some subtle differences. The most important thing to remember is that this is still first and foremost DANCE music…and it is certain to go over very big in the club scene.
KMFDM was a band that was always loved and despised…depending on who you asked. The same will surely be true of MDFMK…which is probably exactly what the band is striving for. Good stuff. Plenty fun. Technology galore. Plenty loud and noisy too.
