One of those records that grows on you. “Chaos” is the title track and blatently the loudest, as subtle as a 90 year old grandmother buying lingerie, it is a loud tune with a pounding drumbeat..Oh, yeah, guitars too. Hmmm.

The remainder of the album sounds like what you’d find on Reznor’scutting room floor because the songs were too “upbeat”. “Void” and “Dust To Dust” are very promising but are eventually destroyed within the first minute by lame refrains. Very disheartening. “Anything” is a great tune and Skold knows it, playing it live with KMFDM on the Five Symbols tour. Great lyrics, smart.
After listening/meeting to Tim Skold since his Shotgun Messiah debut, I really expected more. He should never have split up with guitarist Harry K. Cody (that guy kicked Eddie Van Halen’s butt!). Maybe he’ll play a more integral roll with Sascha and the rest of the boys.
